How To Yanado, Use Cases

How Yanado makes it easier for HR recruiting managers?

Being an HR recruiting manager yourself can you name two things that make you awesome at your job?

That’s an easy one – the eye of a talent scout and the powers of an organizational wizard, of course!

And some mining skills, may we add.

Because when your perfect candidate is stuck deep under the piles of not-so-worth-mentioning applicants in your email, seems it’s the only skill that could help you out.

And that’s just the first chapter of ‘’Hiring funnel’’ horror story! You know very well that the numerous chapters of losing track of candidates just lie ahead of you.

Ever wondered your ‘’Hiring funnel’’ story could be told in a different genre?

Oh, we don’t promise the full fairy tale experience. Let’s be honest, you still have to set deadly traps in personality tests and scare the wits out of your candidates at interviews.

Instead we offer a simple task template solution for HR recruiting managers, so you could track your candidates easily. A time saving and stress relieving story with a happy ending twist.

Ok, let the story begin. Once upon a time the well-established software company you recruit for opened a few attractive spots for junior developers. And you took the rocky road of recruiting with a set of instructions which said:

1. Create a new list.

Create a new list in Yanado. Give your list a descriptive name like ‘’Hiring funnel’’.

2. Create custom statuses.

Create custom statuses, so you have a separate status (or chapter!) for every step of your ‘’Hiring funnel’’ story. For example, ‘’New Candidate’’, ‘’Ready for interview’’, ‘’First Interview’’ and so on.

3. Create tasks from emails.

Create tasks from emails. Add every worth-your-while candidate to your ‘’New Candidate’’ status. When you add candidates to status, they become separate tasks in it. That gives you an opportunity to add all important comments and files linked to your candidate.

4. Create a default task template with checklists.

Make sure you create a default task template with checklists for your first candidate, which you can later on use for all the others. The checklist can contain fields like ‘’check candidate’s references’’ or ‘’check candidate’s LinkedIn profile’’. Also, the default checklist can be modified during the process of hiring funnel, so it fits the specific needs of every candidate.

5. Make custom fields.

Make custom fields for your candidates. For example, the position they’ve applied for. You can even set up a dropdown list of positions you are recruiting for, so you don’t have to write down every single position every time you add a new candidate.

6. Move your candidates as they progress.

Move your candidates with just one click from one status to another as they progress in hiring funnel.

And don’t forget to live happily ever after, once you’ve successfully written your hiring funnel story!
